Association Profs Take Note of Girl Scouts Digital Move

This week, the Girl Scouts of the USA announced “Digital Cookie,” a platform to conveniently deliver Thin Mints, Tagalongs and other dearly-loved, classic cookies to your lap via mobile technology and the Web. But don’t think this was all just a strategy to please the appetites of Thin Mint fans. According to their site, this revamped program will “expand girls’ knowledge of and hands-on experience with online marketing, [mobile] app use, website customization and e-commerce.”

Sound familiar? For many of you planning to attend ASAE’s 2014 Technology Conference in a couple weeks, you’re looking for similar opportunities to expand your knowledge, build leadership skills, shop for new technology platforms, and take the next step on your organization’s digital journey. This year’s theme—taking the next step, leading your organization in the best technical and strategic direction—will be represented in sessions following five main tracks that can get you started. I encourage you to start looking at the schedule and select the best sessions or “pathways” for your organization:

    • Content Pathway-“Explore how to develop a content strategy, the business of content governance, distribution methods, managing audience expectations, and promoting engagement.”
    • C-Suite Pathway-“Lead your organization from digital/technology silos to embracing a customer-centric digital ecosystem.”
    • Leadership and Management Pathway-“Explore IT as a business unit, data visualization tools, project management essentials, and how to take your association into the future.”
    • Next Generation Learning Pathway-“Explore the use of technology in association education to select the best tools and platforms to help learners achieve education goals.”
  • Platforms and Applications Pathway-“This pathway will focus on business intelligence, cloud computing, the future of the AMS, video teleconferencing, mobile strategies, and more.”

ACGI Software will be exhibiting at Booth 121. Be sure to stop by to meet us, chat about the challenges facing your organization and learn how our association management system, Association Anywhere®, may be the solution for you. When you visit, don’t forget to enter our drawing for a chance to win a Fitbit Flex wireless activity tracker (we’re giving two away!).

If you wish to discuss your association’s needs with ACGI’s industry experts or request a demonstration of the Association Anywhere AMS, at the conference, we encourage you to do so via the Attendee Service Center – or just stop by booth 121
