Extreme Makeover: Associations Edition

I’m guilty. I admit it. I used to have an addiction to ABC’s reality series Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.

The positive, high-fives-all-around personality of host Ty Pennington, the amazing feat of building an ENTIRE HOUSE in just seven days, and the overwhelming reveal to the struggling families were enough to set my mind whirling with inspiration after each episode!

Whether your organization has been around for 30 years, 10 years or two, you may have, at some point, felt similarly inspired to make an ambitious change, an “extreme makeover”.

After attending ASAE’s 2013 Annual Meeting in Atlanta earlier this month, one particular session has inspired me to share some insight on the process of rebranding your organization.
